Floors and walls need to be box?

when I start doing my scene for my roof walls,I found the light cross the roof walls and my walls is plane
so do I need to avoid the planes and make it box ?

is the engine doesn’t support the plane ? because I even make double side in material and static mesh
but still the light cross the wall.

so what you advice,


Yes, it will be much easier for you to use boxes(closed meshes) in the long run. You’ll have lighting and collision issues with one sided planes.

but since the engine cant handle the plane I mean it cross the light. How I deal with flag or fabrics if the light will cross the flag and cant see the shadow of the flag or fabric .

Cloth meshes will be fine, my suggestion was more for walls where you need to occlude the light all the time and need proper collision.
