Hello guys. I have created a flashlight using a spotlight, but the problem is when I get close to a wall then the reflection is too bright. I have been trying for the last week to try many different solutions that I have found in forums but nothing seems to work. I have already tried to set the min roughness of the spotlight to value 1, change the roughness and the specularity of the materials, play with eye adaptation and auto exposure but nothing have changed. I have set the brightness of the flashlight to very low values (values which I would prefer to have x5 times higher) but I still get that crazy reflection. To be more specific I am using an IES texture and the intensity is set to 0.2, while the brightness of that texture is 1750. I even tried to lower the normal intensity to values below 1000 but still nothing. I also tried to use trace channel so when I get closer to an object then I set the intensity very low but this does not look good at all and I need to set the intensity to like 100-200 so I don’t get crazy reflection but then it is like I do not use a flashlight at all . Also, I get the same results with various IES textures and no texture at all. Do you know what is going on? Any suggestion?
