Feedback on Real Multiplayer With Open IP

Dear Friends at Epic,

Well I have fabulous news for you :slight_smile:


I’ve now played real multiplayer games via open IP for my own game and also shootergame with

-2 different rocket beta testers, in very different locations from myself (across the country at least)

-3 different Epic Staff members

and we’ve had no trouble getting connected or staying connected!


This is a massive improvement over UE3!

In UE3 WillyG and I could not get Open IP to work at all, and figured open IP was no longer viable and steam was the only way

well

in UE4 Open IP is amaaazzing

no steam UI hassle

no delays

no invites

just instant continuous action

including in my own game made from third person c++ starter kit!


So

congratulations Epic on the awesomeness that is UE4 multiplayer in its current state

please keep it this way :slight_smile:

open IP is such a relief,

no steam UI clutter or needing steam client open stuff

just simple IP address :slight_smile:
