Version: v0.234.0
Shipped to Production: 31 October 2024
Website Bug Fixes
Added support for generating a Sales Report for Fab Sellers.
Implemented fixes to address a smaller number of items that could not be added to the cart.
Fixed an issue during the publishing process, where the “convert files” option would appear active despite no file being selected.
Fixed an issue where the displayed publication date was the date the product was last updated on Fab. This was also causing confusion when sorting by date, as it was sorting by the published date but displaying the Fab last update date. Now, the original publication date (in many cases prior to Fab’s launch, for products that were migrated to Fab from Sketchfab or UE Marketplace) will appear. The update is ongoing and will be complete soon.
Fixed an issue with the 3D viewer where some animation names that used unsupported characters were causing the 3D viewer to crash.
Fixed a small typo in the error message that would appear when an “Additional files” upload failed.
Fixed an issue where some assets that were purchased would prompt to be re-purchased when a user tries to download them.
Performance improvements made to the Library when handling UE files by reducing the number of database calls.
Fix to ensure the correct category pills are used when there is (and is not) a parent category selected.
Fixed an issue where returning to a search result after entering a listing from that search would cause unrelated global search results to appear for a brief period of time.
Implemented further fixes to ensure thumbnails on the homepage display correctly.
Implemented fixes to better handle the upload of very large file sizes.
Integrations
Converted files are now prioritized over FBX files, which tend to be more unpredictable.
Improved link handling in the plugin
Fixed an issue where users were seeing the drag and drop hand icon on assets they did not own.
Version: v0.237.0
Shipped to Production: 7 November 2024
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed the issue where Sellers were unable to download 3D downloadable content from listings they themselves created.
Fixed an issue where users could not make a purchase using the iDEAL payment method
Fixed an issue with the Sales Report where changing date range made the report lines within that range disappear
Updated the copy of the Megascans “Claim All” webpage to be clearer - it now reads: “Claim them now and then download from the Quixel Profile page when you’re ready to use them”.
Integrations
UE5: Users are now alerted when they import an Unreal Engine format from a UE version that is not compatible with the version of UE they are using. This is just a warning message and does not block importing the asset.
UEFN: Fixed an issue where some purchased assets would show “View in Vault” instead of “Add to Content Browser”.
Version: v0.244.0
Shipped to Production: 8 November 2024
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the cart icon would sometimes not update when a user added a paid listing item to it, unless the user hovered their mouse over the cart.
Implemented further fixes to address an issue where some users could not checkout using the iDEAL payment option.
Integrations
UE5: Fixed an issue where .glb and .gltf formats that had been automatically converted when the listing was created were not showing up as part of the search results.
Miscellaneous
Fixed an issue where HTML markup tags were being shown when a Fab listing was shared on Facebook.
Updated the default image that is shown when a non-specific (i.e., not a direct listing) Fab URL was shared.
Version: v0.248.0
Shipped to Production: 15 November 2024
Website
Added keyboard shortcuts for the media carousel on a page listing
Left and right arrow keys to navigate the carousel back and forward respectively
F to fullscreen a given bit of media on the carousel
ESC to close the fullscreen media
Disabled the ability for prices to be changed on listings that are partaking in an upcoming sales event and added a message to explain why.
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the “Epic Developer Community” link was missing from users’ profile pages.
Fixed an issue where sellers could select more than one UE version when uploading an Unreal Engine format for a plugin-type listing. This change has been made as it was causing some plugins to be incorrectly built and so users were unable to download them in the Epic Games Launcher. Note: Engine version selection capability for asset packs and projects remains unchanged.
Miscellaneous
General improvements to handle file uploads more quickly.
Various background changes to support sales infrastructure.
Version: v0.250.0
Shipped to Production: 19 November 2024
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where adding a Standard license personal pricing tier to a UEFN listing was not possible.
Fixed an issue where a 404 page would be observed when using a language that was not supported. It will now redirect to the English language version of the page.
Miscellaneous
Made some backend changes to help ease timeout issues that could occur.
Improved support for social meta tags on listing pages and profiles.
Added canonical link elements to all sortable / filterable pages. This will reduce duplication and improve accuracy in search results from external search engines.
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where additional files were previously being shown under the “Included Formats” section. They are now shown under an "Additional Files” section, below “Included Formats”.
Fixed an issue where the average star rating would display inconsistently in different contexts because they were being rounded differently in different places. This has been changed so they now all round correctly to the tenths decimal place everywhere they are shown.
Fixed an issue where the badge that states you own an item would not show up unless you went to your Library or the product description page, of the item you owned, first.
Fixed an issue with displaying the verified trader badge.
Improved how we handle unsupported locales. Previously, fab.com/zh-Hans would lead to a 404. Now, it will lead to fab.com/zh-cn because both locales are closely related. fab.com/zh-Hant however, would lead to fab.com/ (English) because we don’t currently have a close language to fall back on.
Plugin Bug Fixes
Updated the user profile icon to default to the first letter of the username, as it was previously defaulting to “-”.
Fixed an issue where switching to Spanish would redirect you to an invalid path.
Miscellaneous Bug Fixes
When sharing a listing via the social platform X, the generated card will now include the product description.
Fixed an issue where a Seller could not retry trader verification in some circumstances.
Fixed an issue where the Publishing Guidelines (top navigation: Community → Publishing Guidelines) would default to being in French.
Fixed an issue where switching to Spanish would redirect you to an invalid path.
Version: v0.258.3
Shipped to Production: 5 December 2024
Website - General
When selecting a licence on a product page, we now disable the “technical details” rows that correspond to files that are not covered by the selected license. For example, if you select a UEFN - Reference only license, you will not see the technical details for the non-referenced version of that product.
Updated localization across the website.
Website Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where default search layout would be seen briefly when entering a curated search result when on a connection with slow internet speed.
Integrations
Improved plugin resilience to prevent some rare cases that resulted in the UE and UEFN integrations entering a state where certain actions were broken.
Integration Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the “Copy” button for sharing a listing would not copy the link to the clipboard.
Version: v0.261.0 → v0.267.5
Shipped to Production: 20 December 2024
Website - Improvements
Added the display of a listing’s lowest price in the last 30 days, when the listing is on sale / discounted.
Added the ability for a user to edit the rating of a listing they previously rated. Note: The user must have purchased the item in order to rate it.
Added a card to My Library that will direct you to the Quixel user profile, where you can find the assets that you have claimed if you claimed all Megascans prior to the end of 2024. We are working on a solution to add the assets themselves to your library but this will be coming later.
The “Owned” text on the listing page has been updated to “Saved in My Library”. The text in the “My Library” page has been removed, as it was redundant.
Website - Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where some user avatar icons were not displaying correctly.
Fixed an issue where some search queries using special characters (+/-/“”), would return empty results.
Fixed an issue where the second level of categories (for example, Unreal Engine → 3D Models → Nature & Plants → Trees) would not return results if an ampersand (&) character was present in that category’s name.
Fixed an issue where formats with long names would overlap on a user’s avatar.
Fixed an issue where “Additional Files” was sometimes displayed when it should not have been.
Fixed an issue where converted files could be displayed instead of displaying the underlying formats.
If you are not a verified trader, we added a link under Trader Info to allow you to start the verification process.
Fixed an issue in the Sales report where it would report the day before the selected start date.
Added a banner to the publishing portal for sellers who have not completed the trader verification flow, which they must do by February 1st, 2025, in order to continue selling to customers in the European Union under the EU laws

Fixed an issue where Quixel packs and complete projects were not appearing in the launcher after having claimed all Megascans before the end of 2024.
Fixed an issue where right-clicking on a Fab asset in the plugin content library and selecting “View in Fab” would lead to a blank page. With the fix, the correct listing page will now load properly.
Fixed an issue where the 3D editor would, in rare circumstances, not display the 3D model.
Fixed a sales report issue where grouping by month would then not let you select another year.
Fixed an issue that was preventing a UE format from being added to a listing in cases where the UE version of the format attempting to be added was the same as a UE format that had previously been part of the listing but had previously been removed.
Version: v0.274.0 → v0.283.0

Website - Improvements
Added the ability to search for a Megascan listing using the asset’s Quixel ID.
The default focus upon loading Fab.com is now the search box, so you can start searching immediately without having to first click in the search bar.
When viewing listing pages on Fab.com that only offer a UEFN asset (and not personal or professional license tiers), you’ll now be shown a hyperlinked message (“Access it and open it from Unreal Editor for Fortnite.”) that provides a shortcut to open UEFN.
Website - Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the published date shown on listings was the date it was migrated to Fab and not its original publication date, leading to confusion in search when sorting by newest and oldest. Listings should now show their original publication date. The fix we released did not work as intended. We’re looking to address this in the coming weeks and will update you when it’s properly fixed.
Fixed an issue where the price tier ordering was not consistent for all listings. The order is now always: UEFN - Reference Only → Personal → Professional
Fixed an issue that prevented users in the EU from purchasing products from certain publishers.
Fixed an issue where the “Unlist” option was enabled during some pending statuses, such as “pending approval”, leading to an error message. Now there is no option to unlist a listing when it is in a pending status.
Version: v0.283.3 → v0.293.4
Shipped to Production: 12 February 2025
Website - Improvements
Fab now prevents the modification of existing supported engine versions on listings for live plugins. This change ensures that existing builds will not break for buyers. This change does not prevent publishers from adding new supported engine versions to their listings.
Made updates so that Trader and Non-Trader information is only visible to users within the European Union.
Fixed some minor translation errors in Japanese strings.
Fixed an issue where listing pages for items acquired under the UEFN - Reference Only license would display the “Download” button. Download is not possible for these assets, so instead the listing now directs users to Unreal Editor for Fortnite to access and use the assets.
Added Unity 2023.x and Unity 6 to the list of available version choices.

Fix for broken Global Foliage Actor on importing a plant

Fixed an issue where the version compatibility pop-up would appear in UEFN; this pop-up is irrelevant for UEFN as there is only ever one version deployed at a time.
