Summary

First off, I would like to state I have fiber internet with a great provider and near 0 ping on the game. I am connected through ethernet as well.

This problem started happening about 5 days ago when I loaded up creative to free build. I would be kicked out of the game after a few mins and re-load back up. The same event happened over and over to varying intervals of time with the same error message ((errors.com.epicgames.common.processing with “network connection lost” above it).

Only problem is-- my internet was fine and never skipped a beat: no packet loss, red or yellow x, other devices are fine.. other games are fine.

I know this has been happening to other individuals recently so I would love to hear if anyone has a fix or success with fixing the issue in any way.

Note: I have tried quite literally all that is to be done on the issue that is listed on google and even by an epic support employee as well.

PLEASE look into this, this game is unplayable for me for the first time in 8 years..

thanks

I keep getting kicked out of my matches because of a network connection lost issue. What can I do to fix this issue. I play on X-Box Series S

Where is everyone located?

Also if we could get client logs, that would be super helpful.

We’d want both the UEFN and Fortnite logs. Thank you!

me too bro and its so annoying

FORT-1078801’s status has changed to ‘Ready for QA’. A member of the QA department is investigating the issue.

I have the same problem 3 times already in FNCS .

I Restarted the game like 10 times and i still get the same problem i don’t know why please fix this problem, i even tried to reinstall it still same problem .

Same problem. I thought it was a code issue, so we hid our newly published project to try to optimize things. We did some refactoring and code optimizations, and now we can’t even launch a session.

I saw that Epic had server issues and marked them as fixed 4 hours ago, but nothing has been fixed for our map. It’s impossible to launch a session, test, debug, and so on. Our workflow is completely stalled.

same problem. nothing fixing it from exitlag to reinstalling fortnite

i also have the same problem and it happens in actual matches but its mostly in battle royal and reload when i play creative or OG i dont get it as often i deleted the game and reinstalled it and i verified the filed multipile times and done every solution anything told me so plz epic fix ur game

there was an uptade today and i thought they would fix it but the first game it kicked me out again with the same error and its frustrating tbh and i fell like it only happens to some people so epic doesnt care to fix it

I’ve been having what looks like the same issue, but in my case it’s happening with my own island (both in UEFN and the live published version).

I went deeper into it and pulled the logs from UEFN, and what I found is that the session actually connects and runs fine at first. The game reaches InProgress and even goes through end game, but then the connection to the backend (Valkyrie server) times out and disconnects.

So from what I can see, it’s not my internet either — everything on my side is stable, and the island itself passed publishing with no issues (using Verse, ~64k memory, etc). It points more towards the backend/session server stopping responding rather than anything local.

I contacted Epic support with logs and a full explanation, and they basically redirected me here to the forums, even though the logs clearly show a backend connection timeout after the game ends.

So yeah, you’re not the only one — this doesn’t look like a normal connection issue, it looks like something going on with Epic’s servers or session handling right now.

I’m from the uk but it does the same on every regional servers

logged on today and the same issue still. I already reset the whole pc, twice and even changed my modem NOTHING WORKED. Its very annoying because every other game works completely fine. What can I do to fix this??

Wait for Epic to do something… it could take a week, a month, or even a year. Such a small indie company can’t hire more staff to finally get their mess together.
