This is currently happening to me and my friends(all in different states) and I’m unsure where to report this.

That error showed up in another thread a few moments ago, stating it could be tied to a firewall conflict. Adding an exception should resolve the problem:

Summary Once opening Fortnite an Error appears that says: “An error occurred while connecting to Epic servers. Please try again later.” There’s a retry button that’s useless and at the bottom left is the code: “ESP-DIST-001”. I already went through every single troubleshooting available and no results, even deleted and reinstalled the game but no result. The day before I was able to access Fortnite but the day after there was a new update and after it was installed, this error has appeared. Ever…

On the other hand, since the issue affected other users in different locations, it could have been a server side problem. For that, I suggest checking Epic’s status in the following site:
