I agree Luos, especially if the team members are not local to each other. Neither does the nvidia shields reward. potentially One shield across some 5 people? seems like a hassle really.
The only way i see sharing an item like a signed jen-hsun titan x is if you’re local and can have it on display. Thats more of a glass box item for a company imo. my team members i have only met once in person and do not live anywhere near one another. so how on earth are we going to share that prize ? Sell it off and split the profits ? Seems like the wrong thing to do. I’m not trying to be ungrateful, the entire fact we can have the game jams in the first place let alone a sponsored one is a miracle. It’s just a weird prize offering for potentially a team competition.

I have to say I dont like the amount of raffleing going on, yes that means more for for just participating, but probably means we will see alot of solo teams doing a simple game just to be in there for the of winning a real prize.
Good feedback ! We had originally planned on letting the teams decide on who would receive the prize, putting that power in your hands. Would you rather we drew from a pool of individual participants instead of teams?

These are points are valid. But ONLY valid if the jam required that you enter as a group. Which it doesn’t.
That’s bad, because everytime I have packaging error. 
So, I try to solve this problem.
This would be much more logical imo.
The problem is, that being a solo developer is more beneficial than being on a team, because of how rewards are chosen. if what said above happened there’d be no problem.

not to sound rash but I think the bigger teams already have somewhat of an advantage to get the prizes & to win the Mega Jam.
personally, I like participating solo or in a small team and accept the challenge willingly, but the way ya’ll have it set up already gives the little guy a to win something & to take something away from the experience that will mean something to them later on.
even without winning, everyone should get something out of this experience that means more than just material gains.
we all should realize that and enjoy the experience and be happy for our fellow developers that do win or win a prize.
sorry but all this complaining is uncalled for in my opinion and is starting to ruin the spirit of these jams.
it’s alright to be competitive but doesn’t call for anyone to get carried away.
as the old saying goes ’ Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth! ’ (yeah it’s old but it applies)
ya’ll (Epic) should ignore all the talk that seems to be becoming whining & just do what ya’ll do, you do it well and the majority of us are thankful.
and I think is when they think about it
if you win work it out, have your own drawing or a lottery or a Tontine ( lol look it up) for all I care, but leave the Jam out of it.
