Enabling Nanite on StaticMesh created from ProceduralMeshComponent

im trying to enable nanite on my static mesh that i create from a procedural mesh component.

i have already verified that nanite works for other static meshes that where not created from a proceduralmesh component

but for some reason when enabling it on a static mesh that was original a procedrualmesh
it just dousnt do anything.

maybe its missing crucial information for nanite to work??
i’m struggling to figure it out and would appreciate the help!

It’s a dumb question; but did you press Apply after checking the Enable Nanite checkbox?

oh yh so i did press apply.

the simplest solution is to just export and import the mesh so that unreal actually generates the nanite
theres probbably a way to avoid this but i haven’t figured it out
