Is it possible to light up actor which uses translucent subsurface material with actor which uses emissive material? I have neon letters, and I want the light that they emit to interact with actor which uses translucent subsurface material. I tested with standard lights like rect light, spot light - everything works fine, so I guess that there is a limitation for emissive material, but may be there is a workaround ?
I suppose my question would be, an emissive material connected to what? Emissive materials don’t actually propagate light in UE5, not by themselves. If used in conjunction with lumen, they can, in which case subsurface materials are either unusuable or will result in poor quality at the moment. 5.1 has fixes for this.
