I was using DA fine in 4.9 but have just upgraded to 4.10.1 and got v1.4 of DA from your website, put the DA folders from the /plugin/4.10 directory into my plugin directory in my gameās root folder but on opening the project using 4.10.1 exe I get:

No matter what I do, it will not compile anymore and I donāt know visual studio, I donāt code at all. My project was originally a Blueprint only project but using DA forced me to make it into a code project, which was fine in 4.8 and 4.9 as it didnāt affect much.
Can anyone help me please? Iām having to use 4.9 still due to this.

EDIT: That was after the initial opening of the 4.9 level using 4.10.1 where it gets you to do a copy of the level etc.
I cancelled out of that after the error. Manually placed the updated 4.10 DA folders into my plugin folder in my 4.10.1 version of the game and tried running it. I get this:
So I say āYESā and it builds some stuff (looks like same āsyntaxā errors as before) and then says this:
Daz, install Visual C++ 2015 then,
Take a backup and delete the following files and directories and try again

Binaries/
Plugins/
Then copy the 4.10 plugin from DA archive into the plugins folder

You no longer need to create a C++ project to have a code plugin working. It requires some setup from my end. From the next build, you can convert your project back to pure blueprint and no longer require Visual studio. Will post most info then

I followed your instructions several times and each time I get the same thing. It fails in the same way as before using 4.10.1
As itās building there are loads of syntax errors, which I assume is the problem.
Canāt get much work done now 
I also have another question.
When using the Runtime generation DA, how do I ensure that the player starts in a valid position each time? I was thinking I would script the PlayerStart entity on level start to move to a viable position (somewhere with a floor static mesh or whatever) but Iām not sure the best way to do this? Half the time at the moment, the player spawns into the void and falls forever.

I have another question (would appreciate some info on my other two issues above when you get some time please?).
If I want to use Runtime generation for my levels, but I want to use completely different themes - at random, how would I do it?
So for example I might have a red-walled dungeon and a blue-walled dungeon and I donāt want to have a dungeon that has red and blue walls at random together. In essence I imagine I would have two seperate theme files but how would I make it so the level at runtime only uses one of these themes rather than what happens by default which is it mixes them both together in any one session?

#2 - Yes you can. Iām working on API documentation and will have a demo for this soon
#3 - You can query the dungeon model, get the cell bounds of the room you are interested in and multiply the cell bounds with the GridCellSize (found in the config). Then query the objectās bounds and see if it intersects the rooms bounds. paultech asked a similar question and Iāll have a demo soon.

The theme assetās C++ file didnāt have the Blueprintable flag set so it was not accessible from blueprints before
The Runtime quickstart demo has this feature where the player is teleported to a valid location. The death match demo spawns various player start actors across the map in valid locations

Also Iām wondering if thereās a way to find ceiling tiles that are on the edges only, I have some ceiling meshes that have arches and I need to be able to determine which ones are on the edges/in the middle to place the appropriate mesh.
Separately I want to say that the selector for excluding a ceiling tile over stairs is ! One thing Iām wondering is how to remove two tiles if thereās a 2x stair?

Edit: For people wondering how to knock out a single piece of an instanced dungeon, use a Theme Override Volume with the marker you want set to nothing, works great

First of, ITS AMAZING! Dungeon Architect.
As a new user it took some tinkering around and youtube to get it up and running.
However, im having some truble with the stairs. Its only spawning 1 of each, 1 of normal and one 2x. Its not creating a āStairā mesh where there should be one!
I followed the tutorial on youtube but still having trouble with it. Any recommendations?
And my other question is, I was looking for the sample theme scifi0, but was unable to find it.
After some looking around I found that I have to download it seperatly.
I also have the Scifi Hallway from the marketplace and some , if I wanted to use one texture on just one side of a mesh, say like on the inside of a building and another on the other side, is there a youtube clip of that or a guide, maybe I missed it, that explains how to do that?
And last but not least, when creating just a Building, not a whole dungeon, how do I go about doing that? Do I just simply set the scale lower for dungeon size, or is there another way I just donāt know about yet?
Im working on creating a SciFi inspired City, not just a dungeon, could I, in theory, Build a landscape, as normal. And then just insert multible dungeon ānodesā and create several buildings?

@ - So I have a situation where I want certain wall pieces to only appear if thereās nothing behind them. I was trying to set this up on the āFenceā marker emitter, but āFenceā is also emitted in the interior of rooms as walls (Iām doing an enclosed dungeon).
I really either need a separate āwallā emitter from the fence that accounts for only walls with no room or corridor behind them, or some sort of selector that can accomplish the same. Any ideas? Itās a little beyond my knowledge of how to set up, selector-wise.

Any ideas when the new version of DA will come out and will it feature this new dungeon generation mechanic we were talking about?

Great plugin, love the possibilities.
I am trying the scifi props and one thing I am noticing is that it wonāt create rooms on top of or under other rooms.
So far just creating the floors, it will create different levels but it will not put another floor below an existing floor or above an existing floor.
It also creates space in the middle of the dungeon, which I donāt want.
Essentially, I want to build spaceship interiors, randomly at runtime, so I want confined space, all cells within that space filled and several levels with floors above and below, unless the top floor or the bottom floor.
