Distance field indirect shadow

this set of table need to be a "movable object " so i can switch to another set of table and i use distance field indirect shadow for cast a nice look shadow but ,it’s affect other side of my 1st floor ceiling and wall
the question is how to remove this shadow that affect my ceiling

i put box between 2nd floor and 1st ceiling but it’s not work for me

Have you tried adjusting those meshes’ Distance Field Self Shadow Bias value? It looks like the ceiling mesh is quite thin so DFAO from those meshes is bleeding to the other side. You might want to increase Distance Field Resolution scale of those meshes as well.

thanks bro i’ll try

i set distance field resolution scale up to 100 and adjust Distance Field Self Shadow Bias on that furniture still got same result

here is DFAO view

Hi there,
I have the same issue.
Did you manage to figure out the problem?

Make sure walls are at least 10-15cm thick. Check the distancefield debug views. Make sure meshes like walls and ceilings are broken up and separate.

hi ZACD,

thank you for replying.
I am really struggling with this.

The ceiling is 50cm thick and is a separate object.
If I move the dogs up in z-direction the bleeding gets weaker.
it feels like as if a radius is determining how big the impact to other objects is
i have attached a jpg showing the issue.

Any further help is really appreciated!!!
