Default Unreal c++ Vehicle templet not working

Summary

I created a default cpp project with the vehicle templet but when i play in viewport it doest work the car is just stuck and the stearing is turned towards the right. I Added a breakpoint to the throttle and stearing code in the racecar pawn and it gets executed without giving any input

Steps to Reproduce

create a default project with vehicle templet and play in viewport

Expected Result

it should play the basic vehicle templet

Observed Result

i remember facing a similar issue before and i just created a new project and it worked
