We have a scene with reflective objects, and we noticed that decals are visible in the reflections only if the decals are on screen. They disappear when they get out of view. Our investigation found that the decals are reflected only thanks to Lumen using screen space reflections, and when the decal gets onside of the view, Lumen switches to HWRT (we use HWRT in our project) and Lumen cards, and the decal’s reflection disappears. This causes very disturbing artefacts.
We can disable screen space reflections for Lumen to remove the artefact, but this makes all decals disappear in all reflections. We investigated the code, but we couldn’t find how to make decals appear in the reflections.
Is there a setting that would make decals visible in Lumen reflections? If not, is there a plan when the support will be added.
