Summary
When using color picker for leaf or bark on foliage that allows color picking you can set the color but after saving the project, closing the engine and opening the engine and project again the colors of the foliage are reverted back to the default color. When inspecting the color picker again it has the right color as previously set but the foliage only updates if you select the color wheel then click cancel. The issue seems to be present on all foliage assets that provide a color picker. Side note it would be useful value add to provide a color picker on every world asset and also a color picker for water volumes. Thanks for looking into the initial save color bug.
Steps to Reproduce
- Find a foliage asset that allows color picker option - Example assets: Medium Tree ColorPicker, ColorGrass FullGrass.
- Place in the world, select the color picker from details on the right panel.
- Tick customize leaf color or customize grass color to enable color picker.
- Double click the color picker and select a color, then click OK.
- Save the project and push revision changes.
- Close the project and UEFN engine.
- Open UEFN engine and open the project again.
- Observe the color picker foliage and you will see its reverted back to the previous default color.
- Select the color picker foliage again, open the color picker, select a random color and then click CANCEL.
10 The foliage shows previously set custom color as expected.
Expected Result
Expected result is that if you set a custom color for an asset and you save the project when you open the project again the custom color is still set on the asset. Please can this be looked into as its not possible to theme the world using the pickers without it retaining the color when the world reloads the assets.
Observed Result
Color picker foliage reverted back to the previous default color.
