Critical | Memory Calculation takes too long and returns inconsistent results.

While attempting Memory Calculation for our experience to prepare it for publishing, we are running into issues:

  1. The calculation takes several hours. The first test took 3 hours and 20 minutes and returned a pass result of 99,127.

  2. The second calculation (very minor changes, bug fixes, no new devices or props, no asset changes) took 2 hours and returned a failure result of 107,375.

This workflow needs a huge improvement as this will become a massive blocker for most creators that want to utilize UEFN as a creation tool. Several hour long calculation tests cannot happen within the current ecosystem of FN where new issues tend to be introduced bi-weekly. It will not ever be sustainable and will quickly become a massive frustration.

The calculation result is just an arbitrary number - it gives no details on what props or assets are effecting the project the most - we have no way to accurately debug and/or optimize our projects to the restraints of the memory budget. Memory Calculation should not release in it’s current state.

We have the same issue. We are unable to perform memory tests as they time out at 4 hours. This is a major blocker for every creator.

Hey @AxelCapek @KyleDev the team is aware of the issues with Memory Calculation and are working hard on fixes/improvements. This has been very helpful feedback though and I’ll make sure that the team hears your frustrations. Thanks!

I have this problem today. It doesn’t even give me an error, I have left it for more than 2 hours calculating and it always gets stuck at 55%
