It was really bad at some point, servers couldn’t get above 10 TPS, if your map lags when you have a lot of players it’s just the way it is
Ok so it’s improved but it’s still an issue
We’ve recently seen some success in regards to this issue. Our theory is that the ping and lag is caused by players being separated a large distance from each other. For example, we had some players in the lobby area while others were in the battle. So we tested removing the lobby area and sending all players to battle… performance was fixed.
To fix this in our Forever Zone Wars map, we are possibly going to move the lobby area along with the battle area so players are never at far distances from each other… but this is a very janky fix. Hopefully this helps epic get this sorted @Flak
Hmm, im not sure about that because in our map, players aren’t very far from each other and it still lags. There are times where a server isn’t as laggy for whatever reason so I wonder if you may have gotten lucky with a good server while testing your theory. Have you tested multiple times in different servers to see if it is consistent?
