I am running 4 instances in the editor on PIE Window. Standalone Netmode.
No steam or anything…just NULL default subsystem.
on beginning each client, I create a session on each:
If I press F on one window, that client will search for sessions of the other computers and show:
So there is not a problem, BUT!
If all the windows are searching at the same time they found NONE.
Its like if each found session is ‘delisted’ for a while.
So I can find other sessions ONLY if no other is finding. WHY?!
How do I solve this?
I want all windows create a session and all windows to find the other sessions.
You would ask 'Why would you want all with a session?"
A Lot of reasons. One I want to use beacon and connect by session ID name. The
ID is consistent along the game even if you create and close and create a session again.
Find is SLOW…takes like 5 seconds and nobody was able to answer me why it takes so
long and why there is not a parameter to make the search faster…its just a LAN with
4 computers…should be superfast. but I didnt found a way to make a search faster.
It takes 5 seconds and thats it…no timeout parameter or something.
I want to have all 4 sessions created and ready…then find the other sessions, then
create beacon bindings between sessions, then I can Just close the sessions and
when ANY computer starts all the others that are ‘available’ (because can be playing
in another session) can join.
I repeat the problem I am looking to solve : Cant find the other sessions
while other computers are searching too.
I can manually search on each computer by pressing a key and
then I have what I need but I cant automate this proccess because if all search at same
time they dont find each other.
Please help thanks!
