I was just building in UEFN and the last 1000 objects that i paced got deleted in about 5 seconds revision control wasunfortunately off. Why did this happen, and is the a way to restore the lost files?
Happened to me too. Happened to several people in the past hour on Discord. I found out they were being deleted when the map was undergoing a Memory check and I was making coffee and not touching the keyboard. I caught some screen caps of it. Had maybe 30-50 items delete on their own.
UCB-1339 incident has been created. Status is āAwaiting Validationā.
Iāve also encountered this issue and noticed in the UEFN output logs warning messages that corresponds with the deleted objects.

Same issues ā¦ prob are random deleted. Seem like revision control ramdomly restore back the snapshot.
I periodically experience this with āLive Editā enabled.

Lost a bunch of stuff with the update too
After some advice from another UEFN developer, I turned off Live Edit in UEFN. The behavior of items being randomly deleted has stopped so far!! Fingers crossed this is a good temporary fix until the main cause is patched.
yea I hoped on one of my projects and HALF OF EVERY THING was GONE. I have no clue what happened and 60+ hours of work was goneā¦
@EncryptedCat Iām sorry but I disabled Live Edit and even with Fortnite closed I got the error. Thatās becoming very, VERY frustrating to use UEFN back 3 or 4 weeks.
Is it possible that you were building without having a valid support underneath, such as a landscape? I once tried to build āin thin airā, and got quite far with the project, until props started to despawn, seemingly at random. Back then, I read somewhere that the āsupport-is-validā checking can be disabled somehow, but I do not recall the setting (I just build directly on the landscape now).
Is it possible to turn it off?
Uncheck Live-Edit in the little dropdown menu next to Launch Session (Before you start a session).
This use to happen to me also when pushing changes. The way It got fixed for me was that I use to start the project in 1.0 and then transfer it to UEFN, now I just start the project in UEFN and I donāt have the problem anymore
