Conditional Buttons seem to be affected by streaming

Summary

I’m not exactly why this is happening, so I’m taking a guess and saying it has to do with how far the conditional buttons are from the player location maybe?

Essentially, I use conditional buttons to check if a player is holding a gun, if they are holding a gun, then they cannot under any circumstances use that gun to do damage to bee hives in Bee Tycoon

For whatever reason however, it seems hives that are far away from world origin, or maybe it’s the player being far from the conditional button (it’s close to world origin too) is allowing the player to shoot their gun at hives dealing the damage they would normally do with a pickaxe.

I have attached a video showing what it looks like in an area close to world origin, and an area not close

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load into Bee Tycoon (3597-8094-4458)
  2. Acquire a weapon
  3. Go to Area 3 or later
  4. Shoot your gun at any of the hives

Expected Result

Shooting your gun at a hive should never trigger the “on hit” effects like doing damage or triggering skills

Observed Result

Shooting your gun at a hive does trigger all of the normal on hit effects like doing damage or skills, but only to hives that are far away from the world origin (~15000 distance away is seems?)

Video shows me shooting at hives near the world origin, and them not taking damage from gun, only pickaxe. Then shows me go to another area on the map and the hives take damage from the gun (they use the exact same code logic)

This also seems to be a similar issue with “barrier” devices. A player can still see a barrier even if they are on the “ignore” list, that report is here: Barriers that have a player added to the ignore list now start to show the barrier material to the player.

Something i noticed today that i need to report tomorrow is now when using props with the prop manip and when the props hit it auto hides the prop. Now what happens is only props within the load range for the player within the world streaming range are working as expected. Outside this range on initial spawn do hide but have collision still. On another note something is major going on with sequencers all them seem to now have world streaming enabled for me even though they shouldn’t.

Something has change imo with world streaming and devices/assets

This has been working for the last 2 months without any issue, and no verse code has been changed. It’s only now after the 36-00 update that this is happening.

It does seem to have something to do with world streaming and devices, like you said. Barriers are also having visual issues with people on the ignore list still seeing them.

I have attached my logs for a session where I load into Bee Tycoon, shoot a hive in Area 1 (which doesn’t break), and then teleport to Area 3 and shoot a hive, and they do take damage / are destroyed
