Is there something I need to do to get the same/similar metadata on the EXRs that the multilayer exr from Movie Render Q provided?
for example, the camera’s focus distance was provided for in the MRQ exr (written as per-frame EXR metadata). This could be used in comp to drive defocus.
Currently, when using the Movie Render Graph, I can no longer find this info.
It would be great to get it back…so in our set up do we need to turn on anything in particular?
We added Focal Length and fstop in 5.7. Unfortunately, there is nothing to turn on; we haven’t had the time to add the rest yet due to other priorities. I’ll flag this to the product manager to see if they can add the rest in an upcoming release. Aside from Focus Distance, are there any that should be considered a priority to get in there?
Hi Shaun. I know there was quite a bit of info by default using MRQ but at minimum, we would be interested in focal length, focal distance, fstop, filmback settings (horizontal/vertical aperture) and sequence frame rate (fps). That is at least the metadata we’re capturing as part of the USD camera export.
Also Unreal added a squeeze ratio to cameras in one of the recent versions. That would be good to have in the metadata.
