Cast shadow from visible to invisible mesh

Hi,

Wondering if it is possible to have a visible actor/mesh that would cast its shadow to the invisible mesh beneath it (i.e floor). I want the shadow to be visible but not the mesh itself. Also if there is another way to achieve this it would be amazing.

Is the material invisible itself, or have you set the Render settings to not visible?

@ZenLeviathan This is basically what i am trying to achieve, but without a texture. So the thing is i would have lights in the scene and the invisible floor which would get actors shadow.

Also the background is transparent.
That is why there is no floor mesh, and that is why i need it to be invisible if it is there. I am not sure if there is a different way of achieving this result.

In the image, there is a plane below the car that is translucent with texture on it.

Any luck with this?

Unfortunately no, I stuck with the plane below to simulate the shadow.
