Our project takes around 40 mins to launch. I don’t want to simply wait that to see something inside Fortnite’s shop or a new gamemode like Reload. However, the exe wont work as it used to, now it tells you to use epic games launcher, which is annoying. The epic games launcher shows fortnite is running, when its not, because it thinks UEFN is also Fortnite. The latter is a bug never fixed and now the whole thing is just inconvenient.
The point is that UEFN and Fortnite are even crashing a lot with latest update (Fortnite crashed like 10 times in 5 hours, with DX12) and everytime Fortnite crashes, I have to restart UEFN too, because Fortnite will only launch with UEFN closed.
Hopefully they make UEFN a standalone program and not an add-on of Fortnite because this bug duplicates, triplicates time spent working…
Yeah its been around 3 updates they did this and its the worst QOL they could have done, as well as preventing the .exe to run directly without Epic Game Launcher. Now its triple the time to do the same thing, and it causes more headaches for no reason.
? This didn’t solve it, I still can’t launch the client while the editor is open also this thread is unrelated afaik to the graphics cards/shaders, its about running fortnite from the binaries folder/because fortnite is seen as running in the EGL when uefn is open
hi @Mineblo ,
On my Windows 11 laptop Opened UEFN from the Shortcut created by EGL.
Typed Windows Key +D to bring back desktop
Open Fortnite 32.11 with the Fortnite shortcut created by EGL
You cannot use
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64\FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping_EAC_EOS.exe
You Cannot directly start Fortnite from The Executable as the Anti Tampering code must be downloaded from AWS servers
UEFN has no issue opening / logging in. Its the only thing here that actually has no problem launching whenever, Its the Fortnite Client itself this post was made about regarding how it’s not possible to launch fortnite while uefn is open
