Hello, there was a problem with building light, empty terrain, lighting using Direct Light, Sky, Skybox. Lightmass building light occurs by the processor itself. The light “got lost” to 100%, but at the end a window with 0% came out and this window hangs endlessly, you have to end the process in the Task Manager in Windows 10. If anyone has encountered a problem, you can write how you solved it.
Here is my computer configuration: Intel i7 7700K 4.7 GHz, 16Gb RAM, NVIDIA gtx 1070 8 Gb.
What is size of your terrain and size of your light mass importance volume?
The terrain model was created in the World Machine program and imported into UE4.

As your memory usage is above 80% ,I’m assuming that memory paging is happening. That means when your system is running out of memory, OS will move some memory pages into Hard disk to make space in RAM(which is very fast) for other important processes. As HDD memory is very slow compared to RAM, system freezes as UE4 is waiting for data from HDD (which is slow) to complete its task.Also light mass is memory intensive. I’m just assuming this and you please check and confirm about paging issue in your system.

In general, I created another landscape of the same size as the one on which the light doesn’t build up, but without adding vegetation, the light is build up, CPU Build, as well as the GPU Lighmass, as soon as the vegetation is added to the landscape without any objects, the building of light reaches 100% and the endless window shown in the first screenshot appears. All the same, it turns out in hardware than in software?
