When testing a map created in UEFN, gameplay works correctly while players are inside the map. However, when leaving the map and returning to the Fortnite lobby, the game shows the normal loading screen and then gets stuck on a black screen, preventing the lobby from loading properly.
The issue occurs consistently and affects multiple players, not only the map creator. The map launches and runs without visible issues, and the problem only appears when the session ends and players attempt to return to the lobby.

Black screen when returning to lobby after changing island brand (UEFN)
I found the cause and a possible solution for an issue where an infinite black screen appears when returning to the Fortnite lobby after leaving a UEFN island.
Issue context:
The island was originally created with the Fortnite brand and was later converted to the K-Pop Warriors brand. After changing the brand, whenever players exited the island and returned to the lobby, Fortnite would remain on a black screen indefinitely. The game did not crash or close.
Solution applied:
Changed the island brand from K-Pop Warriors back to Fortnite via Project Settings > Brand Selection.
Fully closed UEFN and reopened it.
When reopening the project under the Fortnite brand, the editor detected project errors and prompted me to resolve issues, which I completed.
Launched a test session to confirm the project compiled and ran correctly.
After verifying everything worked as expected, I changed the brand again to K-Pop Warriors.
From that point on, the issue was resolved and the black screen no longer occurred when returning to the lobby.
Conclusion:
The issue appears to be related to an incomplete or inconsistent brand change within the project. Reverting the island to the Fortnite brand, allowing UEFN to detect and fix project issues, and then reapplying the desired brand resolved the problem.
I hope this helps other creators who encounter a similar issue.
