Hi i have a little huge problem. I made a 3D Model with blender. It is pretty big (30.000 verts I think) but not complex.
Now the problem is i can’t get it lit properly. I have a static point light in my scene and my static mesh with 2 materials (2 slots made in blender). They are as simple as possible. Simple color in Base Color and Metallic and Roughness value. In BP preview and SM editor preview it looks good but when I build lighting it doesn’t work. Yes, I have 2 UV Maps added in blender with UV Unwrap. I already tried it with UE4’s automatic unwrap and higher lightmap resolution settings. All my other static objects are (more or less) properly lit.
One thing that is interesting: It worked before. I packaged the project for my phone and I saw on my phoine the object is black and when I looked in UE4 it was suddenly black. I can’t remember to change anything. A new error is popping up though. When I click “Build” I get a map error like described here: [Error] "Maps need lighting rebuilt." - Rendering - Unreal Engine Forums
The workaround given there doesn’t work. Now I have really no idea what happens. My very reflective material works more or less (weird reflections I think the angle makes no sense), but my simple white metal material shows up black.
