I’m on 5.5.4 and whenever I plug a pure white material in to the emissive channel of an unlit material, I get a black halo on certain backgrounds. Conversely, when I plug in pure black, I get a white halo. Its not my post process since I get it in the viewport of the material editor. Does anyone have any thoughts? I’ve tried with many combinations and haven’t been able to get rid of this. It’s not shadows, its not AO. It does show up when I set the viewport view mode to “lighting only” in my project.
Wow you just fixed multiple problems in my project. My highlight was set to .8 but my shadow was set to 0.016. Thanks so much.
All the lighting is broken in all my scenes now since I had been tuning with those settings, but this is more than worth it. Didn’t realize there was a project level setting, I only ever messed with it in the local post process. Have a great day.
