Some of these plants have almost pitch black back as you can see in the images.
This happened mid working, abd I have not touched any materials. I was working on what was there so I don’t know why this happened.
Does anyone have an answer to this?
I can’t find anything online
This makes the overall vegetation to have black dots all over it when you are looking from the distance and it makes the vegetation look patchy and weird.
Without knowing what you might have been adjusting elsewhere it’s hard to say, but just looking at it, it doesn’t seem to be a material issue - more like a shadowing issue, maybe indirect lighting… have you changed your GI, post-process volume or any lighting/shadow settings? (probably not, but are you currently piloting a camera which may have different PP settings? Are you using nanite?
Yes the whole environment is nanite. I’m piloting the editor view/camera, no extra camera.
I have tweaked, reset a lot of changes; skylight intensity, indirect bounces, but nothing changes. it is aggressively a pitch black area and it is very specific.
I was working on making this environemnt’s lighting as an overcast scenario. half way through I noticed this. closed and reopened the project, it became fine.
again after a while this issue came back. I trace my steps back and reset every setting, or tweak every setting related to shadows, but nothing changes.
I created another project of this environment, so everything is as it was at first, again, I see this peoblem still being there, even tho I just created the project.
