When I’m looking on dark parts of the scene auto exposure makes these parts even darker. When I’m looking on the light source, exposure goes up.
It occurs in Auto Exposure Histogram mode. In “Basic” mode everything is working ok. Doublechecked in HDR Histogram.
Any advices? Maybe I’m doing something wrong?
I’m not sure if I can help but I used to have a problem with auto exposure everytime when the player camera looked to any emissive material everything went dark. So, what I did was put some limits in auto exposure using Post Process Volume and now everything works the way I wanted.
You can try dragging PPV into your scene and then you search in details to “exposure” and there you set the min and max value of brightness. In my case, I’m using 0.3 and 0.6 respectvily.
If you gonna try this also make sure to set in the “Post Process Volume Settings”
tick ENABLE
and tick Infinite Extend (unbound) - this gonna make sure to cover the whole scene and not just the area of post process
I know that you asked few weeks ago but I hope this help or at least that someone be able to help you
