Hello, I do ArchVis and can’t understand why I can’t make room full of darkness. On my scene I have skylight, directional light (sun) and small dark room made in 3dsmax with a good lightmap UV. Walls are thick anough. There are no gaps and no light bleeding. Quality of lightning rendering is set on production. But inside of room I can see everything. Shadows are silver. Screenshot below.
Hello mifa,
I have a quest and a couple troubleshoots that will help narrow down why you can’t make a dark room.
1.) Do your sky light and directional light have cast shadows enabled? If not please turn them on.
2.) Your sky light can create ambient light that is derived from your Sky Sphere blueprint. You may try turning down the sky lights intensity.
3.) If you have any reflection captures within your scene you can check to see if they are influencing your room.
After you have troubleshot these possibilities please comment again and let me know if any of them fixed the problem.
Thanks a lot !
Problem was, that I haven’t any reflection captures on my scene. I have placed one sphere and get black shadows!
Thank you so much!
I haven’ any reflection captures on my scene. Thanks a lot to STAFF and to Beiley!
