I am using a blueprint actor as a door in a horror game the door lights up during the game even in dark places while the static meshes dont how do i fix this
Make sure your door mesh ins’t using an emissive material. If in doubt, post a picture of your material setup.
Ok i got it Thanks
Hey, I know you said you figured it out, just for future reference. If your door’s mobility was set to movable it won’t have any static lighting baked to it so it will look different that the rest of the static geometry after building lights.
If you want to keep your door movable with dynamic lighting you should look into setting up a Volumetric Lightmap in your scene. It’s meant to shade movable objects with approximate shading that matches the baked lighting in your scene.
Hope that helps!
