A few questions related to performance.

I have been using very high poly materials in Unreal but naturally getting low frame rates in the editor. I wanted to ask, what hardware is mostly needed to increase my FPS when the poly count on screen is incredibly high. Is it mostly related to my graphics card or processor? Or both.

Is there a way I can have a high TRIS count on screen in epic mode which wouldn’t be so resource intensive? I am talking over 5,000,000. I would ideal’y like to have 10,000,000 on screen but I don’t know if that’s possible in Unreal. When I go into play mode my FPS seems to go up slightly. Would love to know if there’s more I can do.

The materials I am using are designed for cinematics and really have no place in gaming engines but I want to optimize things to try and make it work specifically for scenes. I am rather new to Unreal so forgive my ignorance.

This question is pretty vast, and can’t be answered in one short post. You can start your way here.
