5.6 Preview - Lightmass not working

i get an error

“Failed to initialize Swarm. Check to make sure you have the right version of Swarm installed.”

how would i fix that without building the engine from source?

Yeah, it seems Swarm agent is not included in UE 5.6 for some reason.

The only solution I saw online is copying full DotNET folder from Unreal Engine 5.5 installation to 5.6 (It’s in [ENGINE_ROOT]/Engine/Binaries)

okay. that did the trick. temporary solution for now, but i’ll mark it as such.

and welcome to the forum. : )

You are a lifesaver!

Im getting weird results when baking light with ISM/HISM. Is baking light working for you guys?

guys, they are replacing cpu lightmass with gpu lightmass, check in plugins

it’s been a plugin for quite a while, now. this is nothing new. still got no parity with cpu lightmass.

jsyk… in my test scene gpu lightmass delivers vastly different (too bright) results. mosdef leaking everywhere, cause i only bake volumes and “proxy” gi lightmaps. the rest is megalights.

M41den… thanks works, genius
