Hey Epic guys and gals. I have a 4.11 lightmass question. After watching the video and hearing about the lighting changes for lightmass, witch are awesome. I was wondering if I would need to use the swarm agent and coordinator that’s installed with 4.11 or could I use another version that was installed with an older versions of the engine. Where I work at, we are currently using the coordinator and swarm agent that was installed with the 4.7 engine.

I’ve not tested this personally with 4.11 but the swarm agent and coordinator are all backwards compatible, but not forward compatible. So if I recall correctly when I tested this a long while back you can use the 4.11 or any newer version with older swarm agents, but the older swarm coordinator will not connect with a new swarm agent.
Really if you only need to worry about the latest swarm coordinator connecting then that needs to be latest up to date version so it can interact with them all. In Coordinator you can see the tab for “Agent Version”. This number will not correlate directly with the engine version. ie. it will not say 4.10 or 4.11 for the agent version.
