It would be nice to get an answer to my question: Does Epic plan on releasing the high-poly character models?
I hope they do, because it would be interesting to take a look at them and perhaps edit them.

I just opened the demo map “ParagonSample” from Paragon Asset provided by EPIC to see which parts it contains. I wonder how the water surface is made in the map (see screenshot). The texture adapts exactly to the contour of the individual islands (in the screenshot the water surface is scaled to make it easier to see). It has only one material with different textures applied to it.
I’ve not rebuild the Lightning so the schadows are from the objects before scaling the water plane.

Frustration? In my point of view there are enogh peepelz whom wants to play and stay right now the Paragon. Bring it out in a classic array, 50$, therefor 70 maps and 60 heros, Monster-AI a must-give for all the singledudes and your awesome group of friends reach a wealthcommon like you doesnt need to… Or did your boss lost his wife? However, I have a request to be made at Epic Games. In your generosity you have shared successes in various ways. Increasing royalties on the marketplace. Releasing millions of dollars of assets. Releasing technology demos over 5 years ahead of the competition.

Your team made a masterpiece in 2015. The Legacy map of Paragon.

I remember the first review I made. We were all open-mouthed. A game had never surpassed its teaser in beauty.

That map is no longer enjoyable since November 2016. If we need to be rational, that map is just a bunch of data in a backup.

I ask you, supported by the great community that still loves Paragon, to make that map available.

UNESCO should make Legacy a World Heritage Site. I’m not exaggerating. A masterpiece is a masterpiece.

It is a pity that the best game of history (Paragon) had no continuity with the economic success that his little brother Fornite is reaping. It would have been a success if they had listened to the community when they asked about the direction they should take to make Paragon great again.

I wish Epic heard me or read and help a little to the projects that are coming out to make a new paragon … and give a good help would be to give us the heroes with the animations and skills already added by default in some way or offered the maps that already had.

I play Fornite some times but not like Paragon. To me the best game i played ever and I pray every day so that Epic offers us someday an opportunity to play again. I still think like you and I join the request to make paragon great again.

Thanks. Its awesome! For me personaly its good for exploring how such a character is created (material pipeline etc.).

hmm today i get a update on almost all the characters of the game, the only one which not get a update was shinbi, this means which the team is doing the same thing they did on her on them like adding all the blueprints and explanations on how to work like they did on her?

Loved the character models as an example of character design as to material ID use as well as LOD’s but not so much as to the recent addition of the “make it work” animation BP’s which are all knock off’s of the Shinbi which seems to be no more advanced as available via the 3rd person template.

I was hoping for something along the lines of the tech streams that are yet not available in blueprint form that demonstrates how to do starts, stops, leans and keeping my figures crossed that one day something a “lot” more advanced and game ready will be made available for examination.

I am immensely grateful to see Epic`s wonderful work in firsthand. But a little disappointed because I believed and still believe in the Paragon Universe, since it’s not a game only, it’s an universe with history and protagonists. A sort of parallel world with Unreal Tournament with a charismatic cast that could handle the Guardians of the Galaxy. A little sad by the Epic devotion and the work involved. Anyone who engages in a complex project like this over the course of several years knows that this is like a son.

Just one suggestion: Epic could make Paragon standalone and fully functional, free-to-play for MODs available on Epic Launcher. It would be a great laboratory. For PRO developers, players, community, and content creators contribute within an online environment with work, suggestions, ideas and game-play in a fun way contributing with Epic in this great investment! In this Super AAA environment could be implemented and tested different game mechanics and approaches such as third person action RPG shooter, Open World, and combat between players (PVP), hack ‘n’ slash, crowd combat, Shoot 'em up Campaign with quest / side-quests and of course ‘Moba’ and other genres. Making the most complete game genre. It would also accelerate the learning and production of AAA titles using Unreal Engine.

Another suggestion:rolleyes:: CHALLENGES like in Artstation presenting a variety of different subjects and categories (Best Props/Weapons, Best FX/Particles, Best Textures/Material, Best Sounds FX, Characters, Environments, Campaign, Quests, Code, …) could be promoted in the Unreal Community to include the best works in the final product. It would be very gratifying to anyone have something shipped and appreciated by Epic itself in final product for PC and Consoles.
