Hello,

I’m guessing that you have enabled Physics in the project settings?

These devices (+Grind Rail) are not currently supported with Physics enabled.

Ideally if/when they are fixed, they’ll be added to this list of devices.

You are right! I was due to the physics feature being enabled. Thank you for the hint. How could I have known about that?

Cheers - I would have liked to see an error/warning in the output log when placing them, but that’s not happening. (Which is reasonable, since there are many devices that would need to be monitored for compatibility)

I’d say the best assumption to make is that only the devices listed in that doc work with physics. When physics is enabled the FortCharacter is different, so there’s a lot of work to be done to make everything compatible.

As a heads up- the only other device that might confusingly not work with physics enabled is the ‘Player Movement Device’

Thank you very much for the heads up! I would have definitely run into that one as well.

Glad you got it solved. Closing this one so a ticket doesn’t get created.
