xbox one kinect for motion capture??

I was wondering if I could use my xbox one Kinect for motion capture? I know it is possible with the xbox 360 Kinect. If it is possible to use the xbox one Kinect what software is needed to make this happen?
thanks,
Charles

Unlikely, the new Kinect has a horrible new adapter (good one Microsoft) that won’t fit into anything but the Xbox. I suspect you’ll need an Xbox Devkit to use the new Kinect at all, and let’s be honest, it’s always been horrible hardware to work with anyway

You’ll probably be better off using PS4’s Camera, it’s pretty nice to work with but again the problem is you need a Devkit to do so. For now, it’s probably worth sticking with 360 Kinect.

If you can wait until December, this maybe a better and cheaper solution:

With the PS4 cameras, you’ll need at least a 13x13 foot area to work with, but they are better at tracking fast movement.
