Won't let me claim both (personal and professional) licenses for Limited-Time Free assets

Summary

A few weeks ago I could claim both the personal license and the professional license for the limited-time free assets.

Now, whenever I get the personal license for the asset, if I select the professional license to try to claim it as well, it just says “Download” instead of giving a “Buy now” button.

(Situation occurs vice-versa as well.)

This is an issue because the personal license is worse than the professional license and I would have just gone ahead and claimed the professional license if I knew it would not let me claim both.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Visit the Limited-Time Free assets page: Fab
  2. Click on an asset.
  3. Press the “Buy now” button.
  4. Switch to the other license.
  5. Attempt to claim the other license.

Expected Result

It should let you acquire the other license (e.g. show the “Buy now” button.

Observed Result

It shows the “Download” instead of “Buy now” button even though you do not own the other license.

I have the same problem, can’t claim professional after claiming personal :frowning:

and there aren’t that many days left

I just realized that someone else already posted about this issue here: Can't get the Professional license if I already got the Personal one for Giveaway assets

I missed that because I didn’t realize I was looking through the unreal engine tag for posts (Topics tagged unreal-engine) instead of the fab tag section.

EMP-14773 has been ‘Closed’. This is working as intended by design.
