Windows can't locate epic games launcher

I had some trouble installing Microsoft visual studio so I had to reinstall it but before I did that, Windows couldn’t locate the epic games launcher in my program files(86).

It asked me to locate the directory, I viewed the launcher’s properties and it says that there should be a Launcher folder with subfolders.

I did a system restore to get the launcher back but it’s still not doing the trick.

What’s going on and how do I fix it?
