Will Niagara Trails provide the same functionality as Particle Trails (for example, as used in the AnimNotifyState_Trail)

We are trying to move away from the old particle systems as recommended. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Niagara supports the same kind of trails that can be used for swords (e.g. has two points, top and bottom) to create the same kind of effects. Will this be migrated to Niagara in the future?
