WidgetInteraction pointer passes through everything in VR

I am having an issue where I’ve attached a Widget Interaction to the HandMesh of the default BP_MotionController in order to be able to interact with widgets in VR. Unfortunately, the beam passes through everything (menus, blocks, etc.). I have the trace channel set to Visibility and Enable Hit Testing to true.

I am running 4.26.1 and am using the VR base map that comes with the engine. I am using the original HTC Vive with the original controllers.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
