Widget blueprints added through Verse cannot be navigated on controller

Any widget blueprint asset, that is added to the player UI using Verse, cannot be navigated properly on controller.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a widget blueprint with multiple buttons
  2. Add widget to the screen in Verse using the widget asset (with correct input mode etc)
  3. Try to navigate the buttons

Expected Result

Buttons should work the same no matter how the widget is added to the screen.

Observed Result

Buttons cannot be navigated between, and sometimes it fails to hover a button at all.

Just found a discord message that said the same and that seemed to work. I assume this is still a bug though, as when the same widget is added through an input popup it seems to work fine?

I think you have a point. Maybe Is Focusable should be enabled by default. I wonder if there is a reason it isn’t.

FORT-1084714 has been ā€˜Closed’. The issue reported is not caused by a bug in the tool.
