i am following a ue 5 tutorial and it requires starter content, anyone know why this happens?
It’s looking like Epic just decided we don’t need that any more. Although there is a lot of project templates, nothing quite beats getting a few useful materials from that content pack.
Two solutions:
1 Install an earlier version of the engine and migrate the content. You see people online saying to do this with 5.6, but I think that content probably hasn’t changed since UE4, so 4.27 is much quicker to download and will probably do the trick.
2 Get it from someone who bother to keep a copy
Definitely should save this. Starter Content is super helpful to get started whenever I start a fresh project. Heck, my project, after 4 years of development, still uses some of the starter content.
Same here. I learnt so much from those materials…
What do you mean, it’s still there just different and animations are on Fab, if you used them before they should be in your library.
You used to be able to add starter content to any project, directly from the content browser.
Nope, it’s specifically called ‘starter pack content’ ![]()
Oh I see. ![]()
