why is my visual effect spawning and not running infinity when its active

HI
im very new to all this Niagara effects and all but i have managed to make an aura for my character. But the problem im having is that the aura is not running infinity when i activate it but instead spawning new auras, kind of leaving a trace behind.

this is the stats im using

this is what is looks

Have you set the “Life Cycle Mode” to “Infinite.”? This should make the aura run continuously without leaving a trace behind.

where can i find that? i cant seem to find it anywhere

i did though find something called “Life Cycle Mode” but i can only see “system” and “self”

Life Cycle Mode is what I meant in this case!

Have a look here: Emitter Update Group | Unreal Engine 4.27 Documentation

yes i have it on “infinite” but the second picture is the result im getting for some reason

If I’m understanding correctly while your character moves the particles spawned by your aura Niagara System remain in the same location the character was, instead of following it?

If that’s what you are trying to achieve it’s probably because your emitter is set to World Space instead of Local Space
You can set it here

This way if the Niagara System is attached to the character it will move with it
