Hi everyone,
I’m facing an issue in Unreal Engine 5 where my scene appears way too dark, even though I’ve set up directional lights, skylights, and exposure settings correctly (at least I think so). I’m using Lumen for GI and reflections, and I’ve already enabled Auto Exposure and tweaked the post-process volume.
Here are a few things I’ve tried:
- Adjusting exposure min/max in the Post Process Volume
- Increasing Skylight intensity and changing mobility
- Playing with indirect lighting intensity
- Enabling/disabling Lumen reflections and GI
Despite all that, the scene still looks underexposed in both editor and game view.
Questions:
- Are there any hidden settings or common pitfalls I might be missing with lighting and exposure in UE5?
- Could this be caused by tone mapping or Lumen limitations?
- Should I rely on manual exposure settings instead of auto?
Would love to hear any ideas or experience you have with this kind of issue. Thanks!
