Why don't lights and neons look as realistic with PathTracer as raster, and why doesn't light haze or lens flare work at all with PathTracer?

While the overall scene looks far more realistic when I turn on PathTracer, lights and neon materials don’t seem to work correctly. There’s no realism to their presence. No haze when I enable it, no lens flare, etc., but they look great in raster renders.

Attached is an example. The headlights of the car are neon material and appear quite cinematic in the raster render when I turn up lens flare. They’re totally flat in the attached PathTracer render.

Any ideas? Please advise! Thanks!

Hi ,

Things like that are currently limitations of the Path Tracer, most notably where light haze isn't yet supported due to some technical limitations that are being worked on. The plan is to iterate on this with future updates, like we have been doing in the past few updates, to get the raster and Path Tracer to support as many of the same features as possible.

Best,
