Why does fps drops when metahuman char LOD changes

Hey Guys, I have added a metahuman character recently, and I have got fps drops when LOD of character changes. I can’t figure it out when I looked into Unreal Insights.

I’m not sure I understand what the confusion is?

If you change the LOD of anything, performance will go up or down.

Do you mean, why does it go down when you set to “1” from “-1”?

If so, “-1” chooses an LOD that is most performant (typically >1)

Where “1” is generally the highest/second-highest detailed.

No, it’s not the expected performance increase/decrease that comes from using a different LOD. It’s the switching of LODs that causes a noticeable, temporary stutter.
