Why does Absolute World Position material node return different values for the same position per eye in VR

Hello, I’m trying to use the Absolute World Position node in a post-processing filter for VR, but I don’t understand the result I’m getting. My expectation of the node is that if I am looking at an object, like a chair, in VR, the absolute world position of that chair will be one constant value, so it will look the same in both eyes. But I’m getting two different outputs depending on what eye you are looking at. What is the absolute world position node actually returning in this case?

My simple post-processing material:

The output: (Notice that the same objects are different colors)
