Why do you need Quixel Mixer if you have Material Editor?

Mixer is a much more direct and useable tool for combining textures. No programming needed, just drag and drop a few things:

Hello! Can you please share your experience with Quixel Mixer?
Because I don’t understand what is it for -to put it roughly. I like it but with all assets - textures and normal maps etc. with functions that UE4 Material Editor provides one can replicate results from Mixer… without Mixer. Or not?
Blending, tiling, layers - all that I have already, with fast enough preview if I use Instance Material… and math-code nodes. What were major benefits from learning additional tool for you so you started to use Quixel - or similar software? Thanks!

the difference is that in the material editor, it will be computed each frames, while if you export from mixer, it wil be flattened as a texture, so it uses less computing resources; those are mostly 2 different options
