Why do I see this black spots when getting closer and how to fix it?

First post, hello community world!

I am trying out some of the basic level edit features and I imported some assets.
When I place them in a simple empty level, they look like in the photo, any clue of what is happening and how to prevent it?

Thanks in advance.

Hard to tell from just the photo but this could just be a problem due to lighting. One way you can check this is by changing to unlit and seeing if the black spots still appear.

You can click this button in the top left corner of the viewport or press f2 while playing.

If the spots go away, then this means its a lighting problem, so try changing the lights in your scene or changing some of their parameters.

Also it could be the normals map on your floor mesh, so maybe try disabling it in the material.

Thanks for the quick answer.
I tried both and it does not seem to get better.

It could be something related with UE5 Dinamic Lighting. I’ll keep digging into the engine and maybe I end understanding what is going on.

As I am a new user, I can’t include more than one image. My last message is the unlit floor.
This is the floor without normals:

As I said, It could be something related with the dynamic lighting.
I’ll just learn to prototype, and then I’ll get deeper in the visual features and else.

The unlit image doesn’t really seem that bad, are you sure that this isn’t just how the textures are supposed to look?

Maybe you are right. I’ll try other stuff.
