Why Do I Keep Crashing?

I keep on crashing. I have been using unreal engine for a few weeks now. Before I would occasionally experience a crash but now I cant do anything for more than 5 minutes without it crashing. I have tried different versions including 4.19. Most recently I was just placing walls on a default map and it crashed, but it has crashed while I have been doing other stuff. Currently using version 4.21.2. I have been trying to make the projects as a “Basic C++ code”. I’m using a XPS 13 with a dell monitor. I feel like the XPS 13 should be good enough to handle UE4. Its a 16GB RAM. Please help, I really need to keep learning UE4, I love it and really want to continue using it. Here are some of the diagnostic reports:

how did you enable debugging symbols when my engine crashes i want to send a bug report but it is not working since the crash reporter window shows no debugging symbols enabled

This means your computer’s GPU is not being capable of keeping up with the requests from the CPU. Looking up into your log it looks like your laptop is using an integrated graphics card. While in some cases integrated graphics cards can be used for working with UE4, its not uncommon to see them fail like this (the minimum recomended GPU is a discrete GTX 470). You can either lower the scalability settings on your editor to be able to continue working or, sadly, get a new GPU if possible.

Please follow these instructions to ensure you have the symbols for debugging installed:

Open up the Epic Games Launcher

Click on the Library tab

Click on the yellow and black downward arrow beside Launch

Click on Options

Make sure that there is a check-mark beside ‘Editor symbols for debugging’

Press Apply

Once you’ve done that, it should update the editor for you and this issue should go away. Please let us know if it does not.
